The claim expiry period of six (6) months is determined from the training completion date. Any inquiries raised should be promptly addressed within the six (6) months following the training completion date. Otherwise, they will be rejected.

Claims processing will occur within a span of five (5) working days, and subsequent reimbursement will be carried out within another five (5) working days following the approval of claims. 

This is contingent upon providing comprehensive documentation and information during the claims submission.

Starting from January 1, 2020, any unutilised levy funds are now forfeited within 2 years, marking a considerable reduction from the earlier duration of 5 years. ​​Employers are required to submit claims once grants are approved and training is completed. Training providers must provide accurate trainee attendance information, as employers cannot make amendments afterwards. 

Effective 1 August 2019, training claims must be filed within six (6) months of training completion. Regarding SBL-Khas claims, HRDC-certified training providers must submit them before employers submit their claims.

A company can claim up to RM1,300 per person per day for public programs. For standard in-house training, the claim can be up to RM6,000 per day. For HRDC focus programs, the claim can reach up to RM8,000 per day.
